Hyeyoung Kwon won numerous awards for her book, Language Brokers: Children of Immigrants Translating Inequality and Belonging for Their Families (Stanford University Press, 2024), including the Outstanding Book Award from the American Sociological Association (ASA) Section on Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility; the Best Book Award from the ASA Section on Asia and Asian Americans; the Eduardo Bonilla-Silva Outstanding Book Award from the Society for the Study of Social Problems; and an Honorable Mention for the ASA Section on Racial and Ethnic Minorities’ Oliver Cromwell Cox Book Award.
