Long before the mid-1800s mass migration, Asia and Asian Americans shaped the U.S. This panel discusses overlooked Asian and Asian American influences on early America and how Asian migrants navigated the new nation.

A new TAAF report, Horizon of Opportunities: Asian American Studies Programs at Research Universities and Liberal Arts Colleges, offers information about the Asian American Studies landscape and provides a timeline of how Asian American Studies evolved over time across the nation.
